Description of the Job For their Canal Walk location, Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced cashier. Maintain a top-notch shopping experience while assisting with customer service at the point of sale. Keep track of consumer transactions on the Dis-Chem operating system in accordance with corporate guidelines and standard operating procedures, eliminating the possibility of fraud and having zero tolerance for errors. Essential: Matric/Grade 12 At least six months of experience working as a cashier or in operations Proficiency with Microsoft Office Good numerical abilities Excellent English language skills and fundamental customer service Able to work retail hours and willing to Job Description: Comply with Dis-Chem’s guidelines for customer care Build a business relationship with clients. Inform the frontline supervisor or store management of client grievances and praise. Follow the hourly rate for customer churn. Recognize any ongoing sales or promotions. Make sure there are no risks for coworkers or clients. Implement and oversee the Dis-Chem five-star communication guidelines. Take charge of the cash flow. Make sure the supervisor approves and signs off on all line voids and price adjustments. When permitted, exchange goods for customers and accept returned items from customers. Complete all transactions and process all payments that Dis-Chem accepts, including cash, bank cards, coupons, vouchers, and other payment methods.
