Description of the Job A CCTV operator is needed at Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Longmeadow distribution center. You must provide a security service that satisfies Dis-Chem’s security standards to safeguard assets, property, and employees by establishing a safe and secure environment in accordance with the Private Security Industry Regulations Act 56 of 2001 as amended for the Dis-Chem Group. To spot indications of illegal activity or disruption by watching CCTV footage and looking into disturbances while following industry-relevant laws and best practices. Minimum Conditions Essential: Matric/Grade 12 The PSIRA’s grade C accreditation a minimum of one to three years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse CCTV control room At least one year of expertise with Hikvision and CCTV control rooms in pharmaceutical warehouses Advantageous: At least two years of Hikvision and CCTV control room experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse Job Description: In accordance with Dis-Chem normal operating standards, be watchful and aware of your surroundings to spot unusual activity and warn security guards. Keep an eye on and manage access to the property by recording and controlling vehicle or pedestrian entry points to ensure that only those with the proper authority are permitted admission. Investigate any indications of damage or illegal access, notify management of them as soon as possible, and take appropriate action to safeguard Dis-Chem’s assets.
Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and daily activities.
Enforce rules and regulations to prevent criminal activity before it happens.
Perform special duties – receive phone calls, respond to text, and email messages, and run vital errands for the department according to Dis-Chem and industry standard operating procedures.
Maintain and complete all registers and occurrence books.
Conduct legal and ethical investigations in line with Dis-Chem s standard operating procedures.
Implement and ensure adherence to loss prevention policies, procedures, and best practices.
Implement strategies to minimise financial losses caused by factors such as theft, accidents, injury and/ or vandalism
Conduct audits as per business requirements and act accordingly.

Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
Adhere to Dis-Chem Uniform and personal appearance policy.
